Pantone has chosen the color of the year 2025: Mocha Mousse, a symbol of balance and human connection
The Pantone Institute has announced that PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse, a warm shade of brown, will be the color of the year 2025. This choice reflects the growing desire of people to find comfort, authenticity, and balance in a constantly changing world.

„In a time when many of us feel the need to reconnect with the essentials, Mocha Mousse provides a sense of calm and stability. It is a color that inspires security and encourages us to enjoy the simple and meaningful things in life,” said Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute.

The Mocha Mousse shade is described as „a fine, earthy, subtle and comforting brown,” evoking the idea of connection, community, and human warmth. It is a versatile color that can be easily integrated into fashion, interior design, beauty, or branding, bringing a touch of discreet elegance and natural refinement.

Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute, emphasized that this choice responds to the collective need to feel anchored and connected to the world around us. „The color reflects the pleasure of living in the present, savoring the small things, and cultivating authentic relationships,” she said.

In 2024, Pantone had chosen Peach Fuzz, a soft orange-pink shade, as a symbol of empathy and care for oneself and others. The shift to Mocha Mousse marks a natural evolution towards depth, stability, and authenticity.
